Here’s a new, creative project- What is Home?.
There are lots of sayings about home. Have you heard the expression ‘home is where the heart is’, or ‘home sweet home’?
What does the word ‘home’ mean to you? Is it just the house or place where you live? Is it where you have lived the longest, or is it where the people you love live? What does home smell like? If you could touch home, what would it feel like? Does the thought of home make you happy, or sad? What colours do you associate with home?
Think about home – what comes to mind? Go on, post it! It can be a word, a sentence or two, a thought, even a poem. Or how about a picture or photograph? You can even talek about it, record your voice with your mobile/MP3 player, or film each other! Just send it to us and we’ll post it here!
Just post your thoughts on this page as a comment. If you have photos or pictures you have drawn/painted, or videos/sound recordings that you want to be added to this project then please email S.Keir@savethechildren.org.uk.

Home is hugs at the end of the day,
Holding a small hand, kissing a cheek.
Home is where I would like to stay,
Maybe a lifetime, maybe a week.

Home is a new start.
When I was in Afghanistan, my life was not good. When I was sick in Afghanistan, I had no money and could get no help. Here, everything is better and I can go to the doctor and I don’t have to take money with me. I’m very happy in Glasgow.
